Where Am I? (April 5, 2007)

We’re in the car today and I stopped at somebody’s house to grab something. On the way out, I thought, “I’ll just turn here cause I know it leads to the other road.” WRONG! It didn’t. And about 200 yards later I remembered which road I should’ve taken. But I decided to ride it out and see what happened.

What happened was that I didn’t know where I was. So I told the boys, “Guys, mommy is lost. I have NO IDEA where we are.”

And my precious S queries, “What mommy?”

I repeat, “S, mommy is lost. I took a wrong turn and I don’t know where I am.”

S lovingly helps out his mom, “Mommy, you’re in the car.” [Hand motions and everything.]

I stifled my laughter and said, “Oh! You’re right, S. Thanks for telling me. I feel better now.”

And my 3yo child says so cheerily, and glad to be of service, “You’re welcome!”
