Got your attention, didn’t I?
Well, it’s true. I’m not praying anymore. At least about something that I’m waiting for resolution from God on.
It’s not that I’m not praying, it’s just that I have to pray differently. I have to pray for myself to trust that God knows what is best and will provide the answer in His time and gives me the grace to learn through this waiting process. I know if I wait, His best will be the result.
This has become my approach because I realized that the way I want to pray is this: “Please make it happen this way by this particular time because, well, because that’s what I want.” What’s so funny is that I know that I know that I know that my will is NOT the best for this situation. So as soon as I recognized that my heart wasn’t right, I decided not to pray anymore.
So I’m right where God wants me:
1 – depending on His strength to be made visible through my weakness
2 – talking to Him on a regular basis, giving thanksgiving for all things
3 – listening for His voice.
And isn’t it funny, also, that this is exactly where I want to be? Being God’s will is not a place, but a state of mind.
If you are praying to the one, true God, will you thank Him for being my sufficiency during this little season? I’d appreciate that. I know His will shall be done…and I want to start now to praise Him for it.
HALLELUJAH!
