I Choose to Spend $$ (March 13, 2013)

Have you ever heard anyone say, “It’s not worth losing the weight because our finances are too tight; I can’t afford new clothes.”

I have heard it. And if you haven’t, it’s possible I just outed you because you’ve thought those words.

I’ve never said those words. But I’ve thought them. And afterwards, I’ve thought “Stephanie, you are NUTS. You know you just don’t want to sweat. You are too lazy to sweat. Too lazy to shop. Too lazy to trust God to provide if your current clothes look like a tent on you.”

So I choose today to trust God as my provider. He will provide the money for the me he created me to be. He will ensure there is $1.25 in my wallet to remove the link on the increasingly looser watch band on my wrist. He will provide the thousands for a diamond watch if it will win souls for his kingdom. So I’m going to get my temple in order so that he can use me for his purpose. God has a big plan for my life. If I’m not healthy enough to do what he asks, he’ll ask someone else. I will no longer live with that possibility.

I choose to spend the $$ and I choose to spend the sweat. It’s worth it. Eternally.
