Paul Revere is most famous for warning the residents surrounding Lexington and Concord of the British approach. He was a silversmith, engraver, husband, and father to sixteen children.
Here in 2009, we’re thankful for Jimmers, who was Engraver Extraordinaire for our tribe of four. We visited Continental Diamond, where Henry found my engagement ring and our jeweler, Beth. As we were studying about Mr. Revere, the boys asked to see an engraver in action, so we set up an appointment with Jimmers. Here are the boys as we arrived at the jewelry store, and then J and T with Jimmers.
We saw more than just the engraving. We took great video, too. Unfortunately, we hadn’t pressed the right button, so we just watched great stuff through a lens, but no real footage. Bummer! We met two sets of brothers at the jewelry store…Jimmers belonged to one of them. His brother gave the boys a mini-magic show, too.

Jimmers generously sent us home with a souvenir: a nameplate engraved with Pressley Academy. Cool! We’re looking for a nice portfolio to put it on; we’ll use it the portfolio to draft questions for future field trip hosts.
