No Red (January 14, 2011)

Let’s start off with I do NOT like to shop for clothes.

Add to the equation that I have four boys.

Factor in that I had a baby girl AFTER the four boys.

The result?

I am VERY blessed and my daughter won’t look like a ragamuffin.

When clothes started pouring in for her from all points of the globe, I didn’t complain once. I just said, “Thank you!” and started washing, folding, and sorting. Baby D now has a wardrobe to get her through 5T. Cheaper to store than to buy, right? Well, maybe…I’ve had to start buying more rolling underbed storage containers because all her clothes took the boys’ bins. Whoops!

But tonight, we’ve hit a snag in the system. She has clothes in pink: light, dark, muted, bright. Every shade of pink exists. We have several shades of purple in which to adorn her. She can choose any yellow, footsies or no. And she even has quite a collection of blues.

But tonight — when it’s Wear Your Red Night — at the basketball game, my daughter doesn’t have a thing to wear!

What’s up with that?
