Four Tenths. Weight of the World. (March 26, 2013)

So this week is a whopping four tenths of a pound loss! And I’m celebrating it!!

I definitely low on exercise and high on sodium this past week. But…

…Ethnic Man had a slipped disc. All five children got sick at some point: stomach ache, colds, asthma attacks, bodily fluids emitting when they shouldn’t (’nuff said).

So. I took care of my family. I chose my family. I had a very conscious I’m eating this cookie and I don’t care moment. And it was a good cookie.

Maybe the weight I didn’t lose (that I wanted to lose) was really me carrying the weight of their pain and struggle as they recovered. So I’m “bearing their weight.” Yeah, I’ll run with that. Regardless, between the water retention and the caring for my crew, I am proud of my four tenths.

Wait…they aren’t mine! I lost them.

And I don’t need them back, thank you. If you see them laying around, leave ’em there. They are pesky, little buggers and don’t know how to leave politely.

I choose health: my family’s AND mine!
