The Aforementioned Pivot (5-22-26 Update)

Remember the blog Pivoting in Place? I told you something was coming and you’d learn more over the next days, weeks, months? …that there were workshops and services I was cultivating and couldn’t wait to share? Well,

This is the pivot I was talking about.

If you don’t want the life updates, jump skip to the site tour.

And I have to be honest with you — the road from that post to this one was not a straight line. But the straight, flat highways are boring to drive. A few mountains and curves make it interesting, right?

Mountain: my online class (did I tell you I’m earning a lay preaching certificate?).

Curve: my health journey keeps me chanting “hormones and diet and exercise, oh my!”

Straight: finishing the homeschool year with my only student has been a steadying focus.

Enjoyable curves: trips to Indiana, Illinois, and South Carolina were cathartic is varying ways.

Rewarding mountains with curves: two speaking engagements, so rewarding to my spirit!

But like I’ve said, movement moves the needle. Today doesn’t feel like a needle move…but an entirely new vinyl record on the turntable!

I’ll tell you all about the “tracks” on this record, but first…

Let’s Celebrate the Big Brains!

In the middle of all that adventure, our family had two commencements.

Silas graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, summa cum laude! Yep, I said that. Summa. Cum. Laude. And now he’s preparing for grad school! If you knew his journey, you’d be just as proud!

Six days later, my daughter-in-law Hannah had her master’s degree conferred (Organizational Leadership and Nonprofit Leadership). A degree that say exactly who she is and where she is going.

Same family. Same season. Big brains, but bigger hearts in these two. So much to celebrate!

So Whats Actually New Around Here?

A lot. Let me walk you through it.

By Design with Stephanie Pressley

I’m living life by design and not from crisis to crisis. It’s a quote from the 1990s that I’ve shared before. I personalized it as I had my children because I knew it was God’s design for me to be an at-home mother. I left law school for this calling. The decision to homeschool came later. But I have always been confident that I am home by Design.

There is no doubt in my mind that everyone has a calling. Yours doesn’t look like mine. But what I’ve learned is that I am helping women slow down, sort through the noise, and take their next step with clarity and confidence.

The website you’re reading right now — redesigned, refreshed, and finally home to everything I do in one place. You’ll find photo solution services, coaching, workshops, and this blog, which is now my weekly update home base.

Instead of landing in your inbox and disappearing, these updates live here — easy to read, easy to share, easy to come back to. This is our new catch-up spot.

Workshops (they’re good ones)

Saturday, May 23rd kicks off the 3 workshops I’m having in the next week. I would love to see you at one or all three!

  • Photo Storage Organization SOS, Saturday the 23rd
  • Homeschool Q&A, Wednesday the 27th
  • Gift-Giving with Photo Memories, Wednesday the 27th

And There’s More on the Blog

While you’re here — take a look around. I’ve been writing, and there are a few posts I think you’ll want to read. Many are in draft mode, so keep checking through coming weeks… I’m working on straightening out categories and such, but you can get to everything.

Wait! There’s even more at the bottom

While you’re here, scroll to the bottom of the page where you’ll find more quick links including my favorite resources (like our family’s preferred allergen friendly foods) and more!

What to expect going forward

More writing. Cause it’s what I do. I’m looking to do a series this summer on the words women gave me, to highlight the wisdom given to me by the mentors in my life and how their words have shaped me over the last 25 years.

More workshops. I’m enjoying this photo solutions business, both because I’m organize the piles, but also passing along family history to my children. It’s been sweet. now that they are old. The homeschool workshops are a thrill; if that’s your space, I’d love to know what would be helpful for you.

Clean up. It’s taken nearly 2 months to revamp this site and even as I type this, I’m finding glitches in links and layout. I appreciate your patience as I dust.

Emails. They will come weekly and connect you to the latest update. If you sign up for themed topics, you’ll get those, as well.

I am SO SO SO SO excited for this venture! I hope you are too.

Smiles and ALL the gratitude,

Stephanie
