Normally, we schedule the birthday parties after the actual birthdate has passed, but our family this season and the calendar dates made it nearly impossible this year. So, Master S had his birthday party this weekend.
The guests had a photo opp with the birthday boy, then decorated frames to hold them. We then watched Horton Hears A Who (and some played Geo Trax instead). Star-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches were served mid-film, along with munchies and water. Post-film activities included cake cutting, slurping ice cream off of a fork, and gift opening. The weather was fabulous, so we closed out the day with sidewalk chalk and bubbles in a slushy yard.
A grand day was had by all, and we were blessed to enjoy the company of our son’s friends (characters, each and every one. I can’t believe he’s going to be one whole hand full of years. Just too fast…it all goes too fast!
