While we’re talking about coupons and deals. Coldstone Creamery has a birthday club. You can sign up online. I did that for each of my children.
Now I’m going to tattle on myself.
For about 2 years, I would get the email coupon from Coldstone for the birthday custard. It’s EXPENSIVE to go to Coldstone. It’s not where you go after the baseball game, at least not a family of 7, or 6, or 5. When the coupon arrived, I’d print it and tuck it in my wallet. If my travels took me near a franchise in the subsequent week (they are serious about their expiration date; it’s a short window), I’d have a free Coldstone creation. By myself. Sans children.
How in the world could I do that?! It wasn’t my birthday. I hear you…I hear you all. But guess what?
I birthed ’em. Yup, I pushed hard to get those puppies out and they didn’t give me an ice cream sundae for it. So I did. Yup, this approach was my Happy Birthday to Me for Birthing You treat.
Got tired of Coldstone, so I don’t do it anymore. Funny what happens when your kid sells ice cream. You get bored with it.
Okay, go to Coldstone’s site now and sign up for their birthday program, for you and each of your kiddos! (and your spouse…but take him on his special day…it’s a date!)
