He really is in EVERY detail.
We’ve just returned from Family Camp, a venture that I pressed hard to have for our family, and one that I think I resisted gaining the most from. I wonder about myself sometimes. I want so much, but am too lazy to do the work to get it.
I want to turn over a new leaf, but I feel too exhausted to do so.
Thankfully, when I’m about ready to quit on myself, the Lord is never willing to. And His faith in me is my sustaining grace…yet again!
This morning I started reading the Tenney’s book “How to Be a God Chaser and a Kid Chaser.” I’m barely into chapter 2 and it’s blessing my socks off. You know what blessed me more? The time I spent in prayer this morning.
Why? Because time with God is better than reading about how to spend time with God.
It’s when we spend time with him that we not only know he’s in the details, but we experience him in the details. That’s the most abbreviated version of what I gained from camp.
I’m going now…to hang out with my children. I want to be in their details. I want them to experience close relationship with their parents. Then they’ll chase their heavenly Father, too!
