Today I did Zumba Rush on the Kinect. After a vigorous workout on “short class,” it told me that I burned 467 calories. I recently invested in a heart monitor, which I was attached to during said workout. The heart monitor said I only burned 255 calories.
Do you know how badly I wanted to enter 467 into the myfitnesspal? But I didn’t.
Instead, I turned off the Kinect, rubbed the whatever-that-muscle-is-that-pulled during the workout (which was great fun, by the way), and turned on Jillian.
Did level 1 of the 30 Day Shred. Earned my other calories.
Total burn for today according to the heart monitor: 476.
I’m going to be consistent with using the heart monitor and the calories it says. If it’s low-balling me, it’s still to my benefit, right? Right.
And now my workout is done.
Hallelujah!
