Do you remember the episode of The Cosby Show when Rudy was taking extra tap classes to prepare for an upcoming recital? Cliff enters a tap-off with the instructor. When one finished tapping, he’d say, “Challenge,” but with a French accent so it sound like “Shah-lohnj.”
Well, I’ve said it to myself: Shah-lohnj!
Too often I run into people hither and thither in my real-world community and they greet me with, “You haven’t blogged lately. I like your blog. When are you going to add something?” I didn’t realize folks were paying attention. I chock up my silence to the five children. Seriously, who can blog regularly when you’re running an army? But you know what? That’s no excuse when I consider:
Writing is a therapeutic outlet for me.
I’ve taken off the year from speaking and am bursting from within with things to say.
I’ve been wanting to develop my blog and my site.
There’s actually a list of about 27 responses to my no-time-to-blog excuses, but your time is valuable so I’ll move on. When I was invited to The Ultimate Blog Challenge by web hosting genius Michelle Shaeffer at Creo Communico,I couldn’t pass up the opportunity (especially when it was a New Year’s invitation).
So I invite you to take this ultimate trek with me. We’ll see what interesting topics we can cover and, hopefully, watch my website develop (it’s currently a blank screen). If you’ve been looking for a reason to blog, join me on the challenge, it’s not too late. If you’re finally ready to get your own site up and running, you can’t go wrong with Michelle at Creo. And if you just want to watch and see if I can keep up with this thing, sit back and observe (laugh at my missteps or give me suggestions for what you want me to blog about.)
I can’t tap dance…let’s see if I can blog.
Shah-lohnj!!
