Do you recall the probability and permutations part of math class? I didn’t like that part. You know why? Because it just made the possibility of my being singled out seem so impossible. The good news is that Jesus Christ would have gone to the cross to pay for my sins if I were the only one who needed saving. That blows me away! It makes being one of billions on this earth easy because I know that in the eye of the Lord, I am just one…and he loves me. The beauty of His love, though, is that he also loves you just that much. There’s no comparison or competition. So I can love you with the love of Christ and not lose anything. As a matter of fact, when we die to self (love of self), we gain so much. Jesus died to selfishness and gained back relationship with His children. Glory!
I think I’ve written in this blog before (maybe not) about the sand in Psalm 139. God says that his thoughts about each and every one of us outnumber the grains of sand. That’s a lot of thoughts He is having…about YOU!
Well, if I haven’t written about it, I’ll get to it. But for now, know that God loves you. There’s no probability about it. He does. He just does. And the only part that’s hard about feeling that love is opening up our hard little ol’ hearts. Well, just open it on up. Life’s more fun with His love, no matter what the permutation (i.e., circumstances) of your life.
