Facebook_pic.jpg   Hi, I'm Stephanie! Nice to meet you.
Truly, it is a pleasure to meet you. Let me tell you about myself. In my daily living I'm the wife to a warm, meat-n-potatoes-loving engineer and the home educating mother of four incredible man-cubs (a businessman, a scientist, an athletic spokesman, and an introverted dancer). Before meeting and marrying my sweetheart 13 years ago, I was a single professional living in a Minneapolis suburb, active in my church and community. I went on 3-day bike tours, tubing down rivers, and assisted with local stage productions.

I grew up in a Chicago suburb with two amazing parents and brilliant sister. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Rhetoric, I moved to Minnesota and worked as a tech editor, then a tech writer, then a graphic designer. I served some time in law school, after which I determined that wife-ing and mothering was much more fun and exhilirating than lawyering. Four boys later, I have no regrets!

Things are pretty lively around here, that's for sure. It seems as if there's never a spare minute, yet I find time to write, complete a few freelance jobs, and speak to young mothers. Oh, it does my heart good to encourage women. It does my heart good to encourage people!

Personal Mission
Some folks dance. Some sing. I talk. Yup, I talk and write. God gave me words and while I might botch it up a good portion of the time, my heart's cry is to...

Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk ever come out of my mouth, but only such speech as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it.   Ephesians 4:29 (AMP)

I pray that my words take you from where you are to a greater confidence in God, in what He's called you to do, and in your faith in your ability to do it. I am home by design...what are you designed to do?
